The problem
Twenty-four trees along the front boundary of a property on Bungower Road — a busy road, with traffic on one side and the owner's property on the other.
The owner obtained several quotes. Most operators proposed the same thing: fell the trees inward, into the property, and deal with the mess afterwards. That solves the traffic problem by transferring the damage to the client.
What we did
We dismantled the trees in sections instead of felling them. Sections were lowered under control rather than dropped, which meant neither the road nor the ground behind the fence took the load.
Working sectionally is slower per tree, but it removed the need for a traffic management setup or a road closure — and removed the clean-up and repair bill that felling inward would have created.
