Dry hire puts a machine on your site and the risk on you. If nobody on the job has run one properly, the day gets slower, the ground gets churned, and something usually gets damaged.
Wet hire means the machine arrives with an operator who's used it before. You get the work done rather than a machine to figure out.

Why it matters
You're hiring the operator, the machine comes with them.
Two operators in identical machines will not give you the same day's work. The difference is knowing where to sit, how to load, how to read the ground, and when to stop and say something isn't going to work.
That's most of what you're paying for on a wet hire, and it's the part a rate card doesn't show.

They depend on machine, duration and travel. Call with the job and location and we'll give you a rate — and tell you honestly if a fixed price for the whole job would work out cheaper.
Float in and out is included. No separate mobilisation charge appearing afterwards.
We hire wet — machine and operator together. It's safer, it's faster, and it means responsibility for the machine and the work stays with us.
