Earthworks is the one trade where a mistake compounds. A pad that's out by 50mm becomes a slab problem, then a drainage problem, then a retaining wall nobody budgeted for.
We set cuts, pads and batters from GPS survey data rather than by eye, and balance cut against fill on site wherever the ground allows — which keeps spoil in place instead of on a truck you're paying for.

Why it matters
Getting levels right is cheaper than fixing them.
The temptation on a site cut is to go by eye and adjust later. It works until it doesn't — and by then there's a slab on it.
GPS machine control means the design surface is loaded into the machine and the operator cuts to it directly. No string lines to knock out, no re-survey between passes, no arguments about who read the plan wrong.
It also means we can tell you honestly how much material is coming off before we start, which is the number that actually drives the price of the job.

Yes. Send the plans with your enquiry and we'll work from them. If there aren't drawings yet, we can work from levels taken on site.
Wherever the site allows, we balance cut against fill so material stays put. Anything surplus gets carted off — we'll price that separately so you can see what it's costing.
Usually. Steep and tight sites are a machine-selection problem more than anything. We'll walk it and tell you what access we need first.
It happens. If rock is likely we'll flag it when we visit and price the drilling separately rather than surprising you with a variation halfway through.
