64 large trees, cleared in days

The problem

Sixty-four large trees across a working rural property, with sheds in the middle of it and a number of healthy trees the owner wanted kept.

The difficulty wasn't the felling. It was that the trees were distributed through a property with things worth protecting — which meant most operators either quoted a very long timeframe or planned to drop everything and sort it out afterwards.

What we did

We brought machinery matched to the size of the timber rather than working around a single machine's limits. Trees near the sheds and the keeper trees came down in sections rather than being felled whole.

Everything was mulched on site as we went, so material never accumulated into a second problem and there was no cartage cost added to the job.

The outcome

The full 64 trees were down and processed in a few days. No damage to the surrounding healthy trees, and no damage to the sheds.

The mulch stayed on the property as ground cover. The owner's summary was that it was fairly priced for the scale of it.
