Demolition & site prep

Sheds, slabs, old structures and everything left behind — knocked down, sorted, removed, and the ground left ready to build on.

Demolition on a rural or residential block is rarely just the building. It's the slab under it, the old fencing, the dumped materials down the back, and the forty years of things nobody got around to moving.

We take the lot in one go, sort what can be recycled from what can't, and hand back a site that the next trade can actually start on.

What's included

  • Shed, outbuilding and structure demolition
  • Concrete slab and footing removal
  • Hardstand and driveway break-out
  • Full site clean and rubbish removal
  • Waste sorting and recycling of concrete and steel
  • Old fencing and infrastructure removal
  • Construction site preparation
  • Site levelling after clearing

Why it matters

The clean-up is most of the cost, so it should be counted in.

Demolition quotes go wrong in the disposal. Knocking something down is quick; sorting it, loading it and getting it to the right facility is where the days and the tipping fees go.

We'll cover the whole thing when we price it — the knock-down, the sort, the cartage and the tip fees — so nothing lands as a surprise afterwards.

Where material can be crushed and reused on site as fill or base, we'll say so. It's usually cheaper than carting it away and buying new material back in.

Questions

Common questions

Asbestos removal is licensed work and must be done by a licensed removalist. If we suspect asbestos we'll stop and tell you — it needs to be cleared before demolition proceeds. Ask us and we'll point you in the right direction.

For most structures, yes. Your council or a registered building surveyor issues it, and service disconnections need to be arranged first. We'll tell you what's required for your job when we visit.

Where practical. Concrete can often be crushed and reused on site as fill or base, and steel goes to scrap. Both reduce what you pay in cartage and tipping.

A straightforward shed and slab is often a single day including removal. Bigger structures or restricted access take longer — you'll get a realistic timeframe up front.
