Civil works are the parts of a project nobody photographs and everybody notices when they're wrong. A driveway that holds water, an access track that turns to soup in July, drainage that discharges into the neighbour's paddock.
We build the ground layers properly — subgrade prepared, base compacted in layers, falls set so water goes where it's supposed to — because these are the parts that are expensive to go back and fix.

Why it matters
Water decides how long the job lasts.
Almost every failed driveway and collapsed track is a drainage failure wearing a different hat. Water gets into an inadequately prepared subgrade, the base loses its bearing, and the surface goes with it.
So we start underneath: subgrade proof-rolled and compacted, base placed and compacted in layers rather than dumped in one, and falls and drainage set so water leaves the surface instead of sitting on it.
It's less visible than a nice finish and it's the reason one track is still there in ten years and the other one needed redoing in two.
